I’m playing with Apache Geronimo and the Eclipse plugin, only to find out that all of the projects that I’m toying with are giving me validation problems with web.xml because IBM’s DeveloperWorks site is down for maintenance and this file can’t be accessed.

Tearing down your heroes
I’ve had a fascination with U2 for a billion years. They’re my favorite band and they’re great people. I won’t go into more detail on this right now, because there’s a rather nasty picture that I just noticed on the U2 site. How cute: “I can now go into the unix program on the apache server and customize the Metalib program so it works for our library. Wow! It feels great.” I bet it does feel great! But if this quote from O’Reilly’s marketing materials is not enough to completely destroy the credibility of their Learning Courses, [...]
Harvard Blogs vs. Bloglines, Part 2
Suddenly, all the Harvard blogs start displaying content again in Bloglines (Bloglines hasn’t been displaying any content from Harvard blogs since late February). I tried Rojo and Google Reader. If you like Ajax and little sliding boxes on your web pages, you’ll love them. I prefer interfaces that work. And despite Bloglines’ quirkiness, I still [...]
